Drawing inspiration from the success of the Korg Minilogue, it focuses on monophonic synthesis with an updated and redesigned step sequencer. It features 16 step buttons for quicker real-time edits and micro-tuning capabilities, developed in collaboration with special advisor Richard D. James, renowned for his work with Aphex Twin.

The Korg Monologue brings a range of new and upgraded features while remaining faithful to the original design. These improvements elevate its functionality and soundscape performance, making it the perfect addition to any professional or home studio setup, adding rich tonal creativity and depth to your performances and recordings.

Upgraded Hardware

At the core of the Korg Monologue, its engine has been enhanced with numerous new features to improve performance and functionality. The VCF has been upgraded to a 2-pole filter, adding more punch and bite.

The synthesizer now features 16 premium step buttons in the Step Sequencer, offering faster, real-time edits for a more efficient workflow. A Drive dial has been included, enriching the low end and delivering snappy leads. The LFO control has been expanded with higher rates and broader modulation, giving you even more control over your sound. The addition of a push button and turn knob enables 'parameter lock' motion sequencing, while a new key trigger allows real-time transposition control for dynamic sequences.

Updated Design

Building on the success of the original Korg Minilogue, the Korg Monologue refines its ergonomic design to deliver a powerful, fully portable synthesizer. With Richard D. James of Aphex Twin acting as an advisor and part of the preset voicing team, the Monologue's sound selection has been expanded, reworked, and improved.

This synthesizer is perfectly suited to 2025’s producers and musicians. It features expanded micro-tuning capabilities, and its more compact design makes it lighter and even more portable. The Monologue is scaled down to a 25-note slimmer keyboard, and it is available in an exciting range of new colours, including anodised black, dark blue, gold, and red.

The Korg Monologue is engineered to offer an impressive range of powerful functions and controls, allowing you to experiment with its sounds and voices. It features a monophonic design and is programmable with up to 20 user program memories, alongside 80 preset sounds. Following in the footsteps of the Minilogue, the Korg Monologue has been re-designed for monophonic synthesis.

16-Step Sequencing

The Korg Monologue has an advanced 16-step sequencer that includes motion sequence recording, offering an expansive range of creative possibilities for recording and arranging sounds. With real-time recording and overdubbing capabilities, you can easily capture and layer your performances.

The step-recording feature lets you enter notes one by one, making it simple to craft intricate rhythms and sequences in real time, perfect for spontaneous creativity and dynamic arrangements.

Standout Oscilloscope

One of unique features of this versatile synthesizer is the built-in Oscilloscope. The vibrant OLED display visually represents the waveform as you shape your sound. This adds a fun and engaging element to the experience and is a valuable tool during sound design. It lets you see how each adjustment to the controls impacts the waveform, providing deeper insight into how you're shaping your sound.
